Entry from: Gondar, Ethiopia Entry Title: "Recovering from Malaria in a sweet upgrade!" Entry: "The day after the Lalibela trip ends and we're back on the truck for a short ride to Gonder which I'm (Jen) very happy for given I'm still pretty shaky from the malaria. I only need to get Mark to stop once as I almost vomit but am put off by the group of locals gathered round watching the white girl retch! Lovely! Jules keeps Mark company in the cab as I lie down in the bed in the back to try and rest some more. When we arrive at the camp I'm really struggling again as my fever returns and my stomach goes really bad again - so we check out the rooms to upgrade to which are unsurprisingly a dive. So we head off to the newly built hotel next door that has aircon, free wi-fi, big rooms with satellite TV and lovely new en-quite bathrooms - we're sold as we treat ourselves to the 4 star upgrade (6 star for Africa though!). I'm struggling so spend the rest of the day in bed watching tv and doing a bit of blogging. Jules has a few beers with the gang who are slowly infiltrating the hotel to make use of the wi-fi. AK and Lara cave when they see the place and also upgrade for the three night stay, taking advantage of the deal we did on the room prices. Jules has dinner with most of the truck at the hotel but ...
