Entry from: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam Entry Title: "Leaving Phnom Penh to Ho Chi Minh City" Entry: "Hey everyone We began our journey to Ho Chi Minh City on the morning of 11th August. We awoke on our last morning in Phnom Penh to discover that Mark had been bitten by bed bugs all over his arms and had some pretty nasty welts. Poor Marky! I was pretty glad to be leaving Phnom Penh as it wasn't exactly my favourite place. Pretty filthy, actually, and the people selling stuff on the street just wouldn't take no for an answer. I know they are just trying to make a living but they can be very persistent. "NO! I don't want to buy a lighter!!". Pretty sure Mark was the same. So we arranged for a lovely tuk tuk driver to take us to the airport. Unfortunately, about 5 minutes after we left, we came across a massive traffic jam. For some reason, the government had completely closed off the bridge which you take to get to the airport. The roads were chaos! So the tuk tuk driver suggested we take motorcyles instead as they would be able to go the long way around a lot quicker than him. We were a wee bit dubious as to how it would work, but in the end we both got our own motorcycle taxi and carried our backpacks all the way to the airport. We made it in time for our flight to Ho Chi Minh City in the end ...
